In 2019, the worlds of street art and art appreciation collided when street artist Marc Craig crossed paths with the passionate art collector, Richard Nyman.
An exhibition like no other, On The Side will feature the works of 43 artists, both established and emerging, coming from diverse backgrounds and presenting a wide array of artistic mediums!
The concept behind this unique exhibition is elegantly simple: each of the 43 artists have been tasked with creating a 1m x 1m original artwork to be showcased. A limited edition run of 43 prints derived from each original piece will then be made available for art enthusiasts to collect. This collaboration approach is celebrating art but also makes it accessible to a wider audience, here at the “On The Side” exhibition at The Sidings.
Marc Craig, has spent years building his reputation in Leake Street through large-scale street art murals, and is currently Leake Street’s artist in residence. This opportunity allows him to support fellow artists, culminating in the creation of the “On The Side” exhibition. He aims to engage the public in collaborative and interactive ways, alongside the participating artists who will bring their creativity to life through live art sessions.
