Nando’s launches NEW Nandoca Burger

Last year, nearly 100 Nandocas (that’s what Nando’s calls its legendary team members) went head-to-head in the brand’s first ever Nandoca Burger Competition. The mission? Create a burger bold enough to steal the spotlight. And steal it one did.

Enter Ilona from Nando’s South Aylesford in Kent, whose flavour-packed creation wowed the judges and took the crown. Now, her winning burger has made its way to every Nando’s across the UK – including right here at The Sidings, Waterloo.

So, what’s in this award-winning stack?

The Nandoca Burger features:

• A juicy grilled chicken breast
• Melted cheddar
• Crunchy Rainbow Slaw
• Herby Pickles
• Churrasco PERinaise
• Mango & Lime PERi-Chutney

Sweet, tangy, crunchy, and fiery all at once – it’s basically a party in a bun.

The judges were especially impressed by Ilona’s PERi-Chutney, made with fresh mango and chillies grown by her mum using seeds from Nando’s own African Birdseye chilli. Iconic behaviour.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Ilona said:
“I didn’t expect to win when I entered the competition, but now my creation is going to be in every Nando’s restaurant in the UK! I’m so excited for everyone to try it!”

The competition is what makes Nando’s, Nando’s, giving Nandocas the chance to get creative, take risks, and share their own ideas with the whole country.
