Builders Assemble

Families in Waterloo are in for a treat this April as The Sidings prepares to host Builder’s Assemble – a free, high-energy build-and-race event designed especially for young creators. Taking place on Saturday 4th April from 11am – 4pm, the one-day event will transform The Sidings into a vibrant build-and-race zone, packed with imagination, hands-on fun and friendly competition.

Every participating child will receive their very own brick kit, complete with everything needed to design and construct a car, truck or vehicle of their choice. Little builders can let their creativity run wild as they bring their dream machines to life. Friendly event staff will be on hand throughout the day to guide and support children as they build, helping turn bright ideas into race-ready vehicles.

Once construction is complete, it’s time for the finishing touches. At the Buildtopia tables, children can customise their vehicles and add those all-important final details before heading to the starting line. With a Buildtopia crew member waving the green flag, the excitement truly begins. Young racers will line up and send their creations speeding down a giant racing ramp in a thrilling test of design, speed and daring. And the best part? Every child gets to take their vehicle home – a special keepsake from a day filled with creativity, connection and new friendships.

Builder’s Assemble offers a fantastic opportunity for children to collaborate, play and explore their imagination in a lively, welcoming setting at the heart of Waterloo. The event is completely free and will run on a first come, first served basis, so families are encouraged to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
