INSIDE BREWDOG

2 September 2022

It’s here! The World’s biggest BrewDog has officially opened its doors at The Sidings Waterloo.  As you can expect, the launch was a pretty lavish affair with a number of parties, a trip to Las Vegas and a live performance from The Futureheads!

Everyone’s talking about London’s newest venue, which is set over two floors and contains  a secret cocktail bar, duckpin bowling alley, ping-pong arena, ice cream van, coffee shop, podcast studio and slide! If you’ve not had chance to pop by yet, here’s a guided tour to whet your appetite…

First and foremost, the bar, which takes centre stage on the ground floor.  Stunning lights frame the space, highlighting the 60 plus beers on tap!

If that much choice leaves you feeling light headed, don’t worry you can taste the best of BrewDog with their Beer School experience.  There’s a dedicated space where you can book a guided beer tasting of their best ‘brews’ paired with a tasty cheese board – Hmmm beer and cheese!

Right next door is BrewDog’s not-for-profit floristry, where you can pick up a beautiful bouquet and at the same time help to support local charity, the London Development Trust.

There’s loads of seating, from high-stools to squishy chairs and sofas – you’ll be spoilt for choice in London’s biggest bar.

Still on the ground floor you’ll find the Waterloo Podcast Project. The state-of-the-art  studio is kitted out with high quality easy-to-use gear, so whether you’re just starting out or recording your season finale, you’ll get the perfect sound every time.  You can book out the space here.

Close by is the Duckpin bowling alley, with six bowling lanes each with their own ‘press for beer’ button. A great place to meet friends or your next work night out.

It’s a big place, 27,500 square feet to be exact, but there’s no danger of getting lost thanks to a number of cool signs that’ll show you where you want to go.  Like this one situated at the bottom of the stairs.

Moving up to the first floor, you’ll find the coolest co-working space in town, which just so happens to be located in one of the most well-connected stations in London.

There’s plenty of tables to choose from, comfy sofas for collaboration and also a number of zoom pods for private meetings and no wanderers in the background.

But don’t worry it’s not all work and no play, at the end of the day the space transforms into a ping-pong arena!

While you’re on the top floor, why not visit the in-house ice cream van!

Hackney Gelato is serving up some ice cream nostalgia, you’ll find classics such as donut sandwiches, sundaes, shakes and ice lollies on the menu.

Somewhere a bit more grown up is the secret cocktail bar, but we’re not saying where! Drawing inspiration from the speakeasy era, the cocktail hideaway can only be accessed through a secret door within BrewDog.

Quirkely named, Lost Property Office, it showcases classic cocktails reimagined, with unique flavour pairings – but you have to find it first!

Now we’ve explored the top floor it’s finally time to talk about the slide! The gleaming chrome, swirly slide looks amazing but it’s practical too and by far the quickest route back to the ground floor – not to mention the most fun.

OK time for something a little more sedate, Grind Coffee has collaborated with BrewDog and has its own coffee shop on the ground floor.  The light and airy interior provides a welcoming space to meet friends, catch up on emails or just chill with a flat white.

Grind is open daily from from 7am, serving coffee (of course!) plus there’s an exciting brunch menu that includes everything from a traditional English brekkie to korean baos, pancakes, baked oats and more!  The a boozy cocktail menu kicks in later on and takes you into the evening.

The tour is almost over, but before you head off, do you need some beers to take home? The well-stocked fridge has all your favourite brews to take-away!

There’s also some BrewDog merchandise on sale including  t-shirts, hoodies and hats – the perfect gift for the beer lover in you life!
